Dynamic Channels v3
The V3 interface for temporary voice channels: channel templates, region control, granular permissions, editable primary message and one-click presets.
Buttons Interface
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
- The buttons interface is located inside the dynamic channel.
- Press a button above to read what it does.
- You can access it by opening the chat box of the dynamic channel.
- You can modify the buttons using
/setupcommand.
Rename Channel
Your channel is yours to name, and a name can be written to fill itself in. Try it below — the panel is the real one, and the name you choose lands in the channel list beside it.
Press ( ✏️ Rename ) — it is lit up for you — This is your channel panel, the one the bot posts in your channel.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
A name can carry placeholders, and the field above fills them in the way the bot does — {user} for whoever owns the channel, {game} for what they are playing, {index} for where it comes in the list. A token the name does not understand is left standing exactly as you typed it. What each one means in full.
User Limit
The user limit is how many people Discord lets into your channel at once. Try it below — the panel keeps the limit in view, so you can watch it change.
Press ( ✋ Limit ) — it is lit up for you — Your channel lets anyone in right now, which the panel reads as "Unlimited" - and the channel beside it carries no count at all.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Clear Chat
Clear Chat wipes the ordinary messages out of your channel and leaves the panel alone. Try it below — the messages under the panel are the ones it takes.
Press ( 🧹 Clear Chat ) — it is lit up for you — There are 5 messages in the channel right now — watch them go.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Permissions
Permissions is five menus over one list of people: who you trust, who you have shut out, and who is in the room right now. Try it below — every menu is live, and the channel beside it keeps up.
Press ( 👥 Access ) — it is lit up for you — The panel opens a second one, which only you can see.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Invite to Channel
An invite has two ends — you let somebody in, and they are told where to go. Both are below: your screen first, then theirs.
Press ( 📨 Invite ) — it is lit up for you — The channel is private, so nobody gets in without being let in.
Your screen
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Their screen — direct messages from the bot
Nothing yet. Invite somebody above and their side of it appears here.
Knock on a Channel
Knocking is asking to be let in. It passes through three screens — Alex asks, iNewLegend is asked, Alex is told — and all three are below.
Press ( 🚪 Knock ) — it is lit up for you — You are Alex here, not the owner. The channel is private, so the panel's other buttons are not yours to press.
Alex's screen — outside, looking at a channel they cannot join
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
iNewLegend's screen — sitting in the channel being knocked on
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Alex's direct messages — told either way
Nothing yet. Once iNewLegend answers, Alex is told here — and only that it was answered, never by whom.
Privacy State
Privacy is one menu with three answers: who can see your channel, and who can get into it. Try it below — the channel list beside it is what somebody who is not trusted would be looking at.
Press ( 🚫 Privacy ) — it is lit up for you — Your channel is public to begin with, which is how Discord hands it to you.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Blocked users cannot join in any state, and trusted and blocked lists are both kept in Permissions.
Region & Bitrate
One screen for the two things that decide how your channel sounds. The region is where its voice server sits — Discord picks one for you, and you can pin it closer to the people actually talking. The bitrate is how much of everyone's connection it asks for. Try both below.
Press ( 🌍 Region ) — it is lit up for you — Your channel is on Automatic at 64 kbps, which is where it starts.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Edit Primary Message
The primary message is the panel itself — the one the bot posts in every channel you open. This walks you through changing what it says, a step at a time, and the panel above rewrites itself as you go.
Press ( 📝 Edit Primary Message ) — it is lit up for you — Everything above is the message you are about to edit.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Channel Templates
A template is your channel's settings remembered together — its name, its limit, its privacy, its region — so you can put all four back with one press. Try it below; the channel beside it follows whatever you apply.
Press ( 📂 Templates ) — it is lit up for you — Two are saved already, so there is something to apply.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Channel Status
The status is the line Discord shows under your channel's name. Try it below — the panel is the real one.
Press ( 📢 Status ) — it is lit up for you — This is your channel panel, the one the bot posts in your channel.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
A status can carry placeholders, and the bot fills them in again every time it rewrites the line — so one reading {game} follows the room onto whatever it plays next. Only {user}, {game} and {state} work here, because a status may only carry what can change while people are sitting in the channel. What each one means in full.
Reset Channel
Reset puts every setting back the way the bot hands a channel to you, and then tells you line by line what it had to put back. The channel below has been thoroughly meddled with — try it.
Press ( 🔃 Reset ) — it is lit up for you — The channel has a name, a limit, a padlock and a region that are not the ones it was given. Watch the list beside it.
Welcome to 🎮 Gaming Room!
Reset leaves the channel itself alone — nobody is removed and nothing is deleted. It is the settings that go back: the name, the limit, the privacy, the region, the trusted and blocked lists, and the panel's own wording.
Transfer Ownership
Handing the channel to somebody else. It asks twice, because there is no undo — and once it is done, the panel is theirs and not yours.
Press ( 🔀 Transfer ) — it is lit up for you — The channel is yours, so the panel answers to you.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Ownership is the only thing that moves. The channel keeps its name, its settings and everybody in it — including you, who can stay as long as the new owner allows.
Looking for Members
A channel with room left in it can put itself on the server's board. The post says who is hosting, what they are playing and how many are in — and it takes itself down when the room fills up or empties.
It is the one button a generator does not start with: there is nowhere to post until an admin picks a channel for it, so an admin switches it on in the setup screen along with the channels the posts may go to.
Press ( 🔎 LFM ) — it is lit up for you — Two of you, room for four. The note comes first, then it goes up.
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
The post is the same message whichever interface raised it — a v2 channel and a v3 channel put up the identical advert, because what is being advertised is the room rather than the panel.
Claim a Channel
When an owner walks off and stays gone, the channel goes up for grabs. This is the one thing the bot does in the open: the same message for the whole room, and a private answer to each person who presses it. Three screens, one message.
Press Claim on any of the three — iNewLegend has been gone 5.0 minutes, so the bot has posted this under their panel. Whoever presses it is told privately what it did for them — and if it is iNewLegend, that is the whole thing called off.
Alex's screen — still in the channel the owner left
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Jordan's screen — the same message, their own answers
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
iNewLegend's screen — the owner, back before it is too late
Welcome to iNewLegend's Channel!
Ownership is all that moves. The channel keeps its name, its settings and everybody in it — and the panel goes on being the same message, addressed to whoever owns the channel now.
